Storm is one of those females that excels from whatever direction you look at her.  She is not the biggest female, not the thickest female, not the longest female, not the deepest female, not the milkiest heifer, but she is near the very top of each of those categories: truly rare.

What does she do well?  Her conformation is almost flawless.  Her feet and legs are excellent.  She is extremely deep sided, long and very thickly made.  She milks hard.  When you have a good look through a mob of females she is the obvious choice and the one that you would take every time.  She has many generations of supercows on the dams side and is sired by one of the most sought after, and most productive bulls ever.  She has three other flush sisters at the very top of the Talana herd.

Storm stood Reserve Senior Champion Female at the largest and best ever showing of limousin cattle in Australia, Beef 2000.  She stood there after suffering 3 Day Sickness in the weeks leading into the event and some 70 kilos lighter.  You could see her spine from halfway along her back.

At the Queensland Royal Show four months later, Storm had recovered and won Grand Champion Limousin Female.  She looked magnificent.

Most Notable Storm Progeny

GLG Wet Kisses (GLG Storm x Dauphin)

What can we say?  3 months old, absolutely gorgeous, growing at 2kg per day, placid.  Could this be the new benchmark???

GLG Wine 'n' Roses (GLG Storm x Golden)

Even though she is being raised on a poor milking recipient mother, you can see the style and substance of this one.  I think she will mature to one of our very best cows.

GLG Wudan (GLG Storm x Golden)

When they are born as light and as skinny as a rake with a big pile of loose skin around the twists, the first thing that you say to yourself is "Crikeys, I hope he fills out those pants."  He has!  Watch for this one at a show ring near you!!!

GLG Wishlist (GLG Storm x Genial)

This is a calf that all visitors have immediately noticed and commented on.  Large, correct, placid, soft.  What more can you ask for?

GLG Westpoint (GLG Storm x Genial)

Westpoint will probably be the heaviest weaner of all the '01 calves.  Visibly he is very big, with lots of frame and muscle.

GLG Urricane (GLG Storm x Golden)

Unfortunately, Urricane was stood on at Beef 2000 and has lost one testicle.  He will never be sold as a bull, will never be shown and will never be without work.  Urricane has been retained as the senior herd sire and is expected to hold that position for many years.
