Rayne is our quiet achiever and a superb representative of our Heda
line. She is about as long and wide as they come and her rib shape
and capacity is quite extraordinary. Rayne milks very well, her natural calves are
regularly among the heaviest at weaning.
Rayne is one of our three current focus cows, along with her three quarter sister GLG Reason and GLG Storm. We consider these three to be the best cows that we have ever bred from. |

The Rayne x Golden flush litter is probably the best and most even group of siblings that we have ever calved (yes, they do compare with the Louise x Garder group). We have moderate birth weights, easy calvings, explosive growth, supreme docility (try kicking them out of the way, I bet you can't) and heaps and heaps of body capacity and muscle. Warlord is mentioned here not only for his topline that will hold water, but because he is a true diplomat: always courteous and gentle and never far away. I am sure that we could saddle this bloke up and go and get the cows in. We could probably train him to go and get them in himself. Now that's a movie idea, a bull that thinks he is a dog...
GLG Ulissa (GLG Rayne x GLG Richter)
An excellent heifer that abounds in softness and size. Richter never walked through a fence in his life but was watched to serve Rayne over the top of an electric one, not get hit and then dismount casually back to his side. Quite a feat.
