Feeding Policy

Our entire feeding plan revolves around one central notion:

"to produce ethically raised cattle that perform under commercial conditions"

Ethically means minimising our exposure to feeding competitions (such as showrings or multi-vendor sales) so that we are not tempted to feed cattle more than needed to be in good breeding condition.

This means that our livestock are grown out to weights suitable for their purpose in life:

• Bulls to around 850kg at two year old

• Heifers to 400kg+ at joining (15-20 months)

• Cows to calve in good body condition
